Shipping Delays Expected
No, We Are Not Scarlett Jewels....

No, We Are Not Scarlett Jewels....

We are receiving numerous chat messages, phone calls, and emails from customers who have ordered from a website called "Scarlett Jewels." These customers report non-delivery of orders, lack of response to their messages, and concerns about being scammed. Understandably frustrated, many mistakenly believe that we at Scarlett Jewellery are the same company.

We're always saddened to hear when people are scammed by companies that take their money without shipping products. After investigating, it appears this company may be using AI-generated images and videos of supposedly "retiring jewellers" to sell inferior quality jewellery, often failing to ship orders at all or delaying them for months.

You will know if you have ordered from Scarlett Jewels and NOT Scarlett Jewellery if your order starts with the letters SCJ# - our order numbers do NOT start with the letters SCJ.

We want to make it absolutely clear: we are NOT in any way related to scarlettjewels.com. We cannot control what names other companies choose to use. "Scarlett" is a popular name, and we know of several reputable businesses with similar names selling different products - we've never had conflicts or overlapping designs with legitimate companies and welcome fair competition.

However, this particular company appears to have developed a terrible reputation based on our research, including Facebook investigations we've found. Similar companies seem to be emerging, selling products that either don't exist or are of vastly inferior quality compared to what we provide and expect from our craft.

If you're a Facebook user, you can find online groups that discuss in detail how AI imagery is being used to scam people with too-good-to-be-true jewellery discounts.

They have used many other women’s names in the past including Amelia, Lara and Claire, it seems it’s just ‘Scarlett’s’ turn.  If you look at our products on our website you will see our designs are nothing like theirs, reports from the rare customers who have received a delivery is that many pieces are from Temu, Alibaba and similar.  Certainly a lot of their online reviews are most likely to be as fake as their claims to be selling jewellery made by a small retiring business.

Here's the same apparent 'handmade' piece on Alibaba:

Important clarification: We are NOT stating that this other company is a scam. However, we receive multiple messages and phone calls daily from frustrated customers who believe we are the same business - we are definitely not.

We want to make it crystal clear: this is NOT us. We are a small, independent business based in Brighton, UK. We create our own original jewellery designs, are available by phone, email and web chat, we ship our sterling silver and solid gold pieces directly from the UK (not China), we are not retiring (we are in our fifties and though we would LOVE to retire we are committed to keeping going for now!) and we do not advertise retirement jewellery sales on Pinterest, Facebook and Instagram.

If you believe you've been scammed by a company with a similar name, we recommend contacting your bank to request a chargeback for any undelivered orders. Our sympathies go out to anyone who has encountered issues with online jewellery purchases - we wish you all the best in resolving these matters.

Stevie, Jess, Genea @ Scarlett Jewellery Ltd
