A Simple Guide
All our designer silver & gold charms are available in a choice of fittings so they'll work beautifully with your bracelet, necklace or bangle — whatever style you wear. Here's everything you need to choose the right one.
Which fitting do I need?
Standard Fitting
Open Jump Ring Included As Standard
Unless you specify otherwise at checkout, all our charms come fitted with an open jump ring — a small, carefully shaped loop of silver with a tiny gap that allows you to attach it easily to a traditional link charm bracelet.
To attach your charm, you'll need a pair of flat-nosed pliers. The key thing to remember is how you open the ring — it makes all the difference to keeping the shape intact:
Hold the jump ring firmly with two pairs of pliers, one on each side of the gap.
Open with an up-and-down twisting motion — push one side towards you and pull the other away. Never pull the two ends apart sideways, as this will distort and weaken the ring permanently.
Slide the charm onto your bracelet link, then close the jump ring by reversing the twisting motion until the ends meet cleanly.
Never open a jump ring by pulling the two ends apart in a sideways motion — this will stretch and weaken the ring and it won't close properly again. Always use the gentle twist method shown above.

For Necklace Chains & Slim Chain Bracelets
Soldered Jump Ring
A soldered jump ring is the ideal choice if you'd like to wear your charm as a pendant on your own chain, necklace or bangle — or if you simply want the extra security of knowing it can never work its way open.
We close and solder the jump ring completely shut in our workshop so it slides freely onto any chain or bangle without the risk of snagging or pulling open over time.
✓ Great for pendants
Wear your charm on your own favourite chain as a standalone pendant — soldered rings are the perfect size for this.
✓ Bangles & necklaces
Slide it freely onto any chain, bangle or bracelet. Just check the end fitting is no wider than 4mm so the charm slides over easily.
Charms worn on bead-style or solid bracelets tend to move around more freely, which can mean more contact with clothing and surfaces. Please bear this in mind when choosing your style of bracelet. We can't be held responsible for damage resulting from how a charm is worn.
Our soldering service: We can solder charms onto bracelets in our workshop. Please note we're only able to solder Scarlett Jewellery pieces, and cannot solder charms set with stones or enamel, or gold plated charms. Call us on 01273 569270.
Bead Style Bracelets
Charm Carrier Coming Soon
Our new charm carrier fitting is designed specifically for Pandora-style bracelets — the kind where charms and beads thread onto a cord or snake-chain with threaded ends.
The carrier sits neatly on the bracelet just like a Pandora bead, holding your Scarlett charm securely in place so it sits beautifully alongside your existing collection without the need for a jump ring at all.

Move & Rearrange
Clip Clasp
If you wear Thomas Sabo or a similar style of charm bracelet, our clip clasp fitting is made for you. A small lobster-style clasp is securely soldered to the charm, allowing you to clip it onto any point along your bracelet and reposition it whenever you like.
It's a great option if you like to change up the arrangement of your charms, or if you're adding a Scarlett piece to an existing Thomas Sabo collection.

Any of our charms can be made into a necklace pendant — either by choosing the necklace option from the drop-down menu, or by selecting from one of our many styles of chains.
The Classic Choice
Create Me A Charm Bracelet
Our original Scarlett charm bracelet is the one we've been making for over 28 years — a beautifully weighty, solid sterling silver link bracelet designed specifically to show our charms off at their very best.
It's made to a standard length that fits most adult wrists snugly, and the clasp can be fastened at any point along the chain to adjust for younger wearers or slimmer wrists. We can also make it in a longer length on request.
This is the bracelet we use for many of our charms on the 'Create Me A Charm Bracelet' menu — if you're building a collection, this is where to start. Alternatively, just order your chosen charm with any of our plain charm bracelets. If you order with a soldered jump ring we'll fix it permanently to your bracelet — just pop a note on your order letting us know where you'd like it positioned.
